I am just sorting out the list for this show so some spaces may be available on a first come first served basis.

If you are signed up for this and cannot attended, please let me know so that I can allocate the space to somebody else.

But got a trip to Blackpool this weekend, The DLM needs a long run.

At least I'll know if the missfire has gone.

Only thing left to change now is the coil.

Will have a spare with me, even got the cylinder head gasket and tools if I need to change that.

Head Gasket Evil or Very Mad

Paked my bags, packed the tools, incase.

HA! who forgot to pack the gasket.

AA relay home from M6 stafford services,

Had to call it a day at 4 PM, got home at 03:40 AM. all because I forgot the gasket - half hour job in the garage - could have been home in same day daylight, not sunrise next day.

Just off now to fit new (forgotten) Gasket, new spare on order.

Gasket sorted, I hope, of to the EC club meet later so we'll see if its OK.

Give it a few runs before the weekend and re-torque the head down.

Can you sak your Dad if it's best to re-torque when warm or cold.

I can vagaly remember my Dad saying something about re-torquing when warm but not sure.

More problems than I thought.

Misfire and rough under power, and now overheating.

Did about three miles round trip last night

Can't be the head blown again in under a couple of miles.

This has me completley baffled, no sign of overheating with the blown gasket.

Fuel system has been flushed through, twice, before the fault showed it's head, and the misfire is completly different.

Only thing not been changed in the ignition side is the coil, before the same fault showed up.

As to the thought of no oil in the water, no water in the oil,

Side valve engine!! No oil above the pistons so there can't / shouldn't be cross contamination.

Now sorted, I hope

New Spark plugs, one is U/S

Old spark plugs, one is U/s

Just by coincidence the old plug replaced by U/S new plug in the same hole.

What's the odds on that.

Well at least I know the fuel system is clean and all new ignition thingies.

Wheels will fall off now scratch

looks wet over night then dry's up so fingers crossed, although the washing of the bus the other day will of been a waste of time by the time we get there. Mad

Hell yes it's only a little bit of water. Lest just go there and show everyone we can have a great time no matter what the weather. After this show we have got three weeks until the next one to get the cars washed and polished.
