| Hi all, I've recently fitted a radio in my mini and everything was fine untill i flashed the headlights and the radio turned off it came back on after but erm.... an ideas? | |

| Seems like you have connected the radio to the wrong wire in the loom, radios are ignition controlled whereas headlamp flash is not. Bill | |

| I think it may be a voltage thing as when I rev it works as it should. | |

| The fusebox can generally be a complete pain and the cause of much mischief on a mini, well worth checking out! | |

| Had a look, fuse box was very suspect. Had to replace all the spade connectors as they were not attatched properly. The actual fuse box wasn't attached to the car either. Was still turning it's self on and off when I flashed the lights, So i tried the first suggestion (not wired properly) chasing the wires back to the ignition i found (yet) another inline fuse which i wiggled and re-positioned. Now the radio stays on when i flash the lights..... THanks for your help guys | |

| Turns out it was those Bleep fog lights, they were wired into the main beam without a relay so they were dropping the voltage and the radio was turning off. | |
