| Friend just showed me an article saying the DVLA are bringing in complex rules regarding the exchanging of engines. A potential disaster for someone like myself running a special with a different type of engine in it, as classics are not excluded... Anyone know any more about it? | |

| More stealth on trying to kill off our hobby. As you say what about specials, Standard 9 chassis with Ford running gear. Mind you on my V5 and the old cardboard log book no engine make named so how could it be implemented. Roger | |

| It smacks of something the last government may have cooked up, this lot are usually classic car friendly. As you say: it would be almost impossible to implement and they would have to increase staffing levels to cope. One can only hope it will be dropped as part of the cost-cutting measures. | |

| There are always rumours going around about things like this, I tend to ignore them! I wouldn't worry until something actually happens! | |
