Hahaha yes I know I know, he spent about 5 minutes sucking petrol through with his pumping thingymebob and away she went, purring like a kitten.
I've manage to change the brake shoes as well so all I need to do now is bleed the brakes and she should be on the road.
Need to get another can of wd40 to soak the bleed nipples, stuck solid.
By the way, I complained to wd40 about my last can because it wouldn't spray out the last 1/4 of oil. They said its because of the new propellent use in their cans, it will not mix with the oil and runs out before the can has emptied fully.
Sent them an email and received a cheque for a new tin.

Hi Andy, I have only changed the speedometer since we last spoke but hope to be refurbishing the carb and looking at the brake servo over the next week or two.
Hows the p6 going? that's the cleanest and quietest one I've ever seen. Lovely motor

I remember your Rover well as it used to live in Bloomsbury Road, Ramsgate for years. My brother lived there and I lived around the corner so I saw it often and always wished I could get my hands on it then. I remember the then owner having a repaint done. I didn't realise yours was the same car til I saw these pics with UJG 1. Lovely motor. I also still see the Minor 6 TPJ floating around Thanet.
