| Subject: More fundraising for the Special Care Baby Unit! Can you help?? Tue Mar 19, 2013 6:23 am | |
| I am Andrew,s wife and seeing as this year the charity is SCBU I am knitting prem baby items which I would like to bring to events and get people to buy them for suggested donations and then give the money and the clothes to the unit. I am happy to provide all the wool however could we put a request in for baby buttons!!
We had friends who had a prem baby and I knitted many items then and gave them back to the unit and they are particularly grateful of handmade items.
So please could you put this in the next newsletter and I will bring what I have made to the quiz night.
I hope this is all ok with you

My Mother used to knit a lot of baby cloths for the local hospital, some of the woolies were with an arm missing, or short sleeve one side, to aid the care for the children, we were told it made it easier for tests, injections, drips or whatever.
It was my sister that passed this on as she worked at the hospital
Be worth asking the hospital.
