| My 1953 Rover is in regular use. Can't claim it as a daily driver, as I commute by train during the week and so only use the car at weekends. It is, however, my main transport and used throughout the year. | |

Always see you about in it, Dad came home the other day and said how he saw you out in it, and I think it was RAINING! ~Lee

| Use it in all weathers. Went out in it yesterday while it was snowing. Only problem was that the wipers could barely keep up with the snowfall.
Now you know why the underside gets a good spray of waxoyl every autumn (well, most autumns).

| Think you might need to learn to swim first before you learn to surf
I might have implied that V dubbers would know where it was due to their superior intelligence rather than their skill in surfing

| Sadly the only photo I have left of my Bug Did over 100,000 miles with it in ten years. !600 full toughed lightened and balance flywheel and crank. Full race Camshaft, was supposed to have gone in a formula V. Two Twin-choke 40mm downdraught solex. Gearbox was also non standard, crown wheel was also ex F/V One thing that should have been done was heavy valve springs as the valves used to start bouncing at 4500 rpm. 0-60 in just over 7 seconds, never had it flat out but had it up to 125 mph Did the M3, Egham to Winchester in 23 minutes And at 36mpg not to costly to run. And with the suspension relay sorted, around the coast of Wales used to leave the bikers | |
