| A lot of american motors from the late 30's have this kind of styling with suicide doors, split screen and long side vents eg Chevy coupe. It can be difficult to tell a Chevy, Ford, Buick etc apart.
Is it a US car or should I be thinking more European?

| This side of the atlantic, with only a fleeting mention of America in it's history.
A lot of cars / countries had suicide doors from the 20's through to the late 40's and beyond.
As to the west country hint, the company I refer to used this as a basis for their first car.
The cabrio version has doors hung at the front,
Your all going to kick yourselves.
Another hint, you could say this model was produced in three countries in one name or another.

| Quite agree. The difference between the Bristol and the BMW is almost like that between the concept and the production car (in that order). | |

| Fencing is quite a popular sport. I imagine someone somewhere in Africa must have a rapier. | |
