I Want to find my old MG! Is it still in Broadstairs? Can you help?

I owned this 1953 MG TD reg 4961 H in the late 1960's, paid £200 for it! Sold it in 1970 to get married!

I have been trying to trace the car and have found that it is still registered, is still red and was last owned in Broadstairs a few years ago but no address. I thought I would seek help from the Thanet club as somene may know of this car!

I would love to see the car again and have some more pictures of the car in that period. Woiuld be delighted if you can help.

Bill, it's me again. If I wanted to place a 'where is this car' add in an MG club magazine which one would you recommend for a 'T' series car? MGCC?

I've tried that and hence I found that the car was registerd with them and shown as being in Broadstairs a few years ago but no address. I have recently asked if I can place an ad in their magazine.

Well whoever it is he does not come to the meetings of the MGCC or MGOC as I run them.

So there it is! Same body colour, different trim colour, and same tyres! Michelin X I think.

I now have contact numbers through 'private message' and will contact the owner shortly. Thanks so much to all the Thanet Classic members who helped, found it pretty quickly in the end!

seeing the tow bracket on the back looks like Berts car

we have a td but its not yours sorry matey..... will keep eyes open tho ....

I have tracked it down now through the garage you see in the photo. Still trying to make contact with the owner but close now.

Yes, it does belong to 'Bert' who's number I now have. Anyone know wherabouts he lives in kent? I will call him next week.

So, I finally spoke to Bert who indeed has my old car from the 60's! We will be going down to see him and the car in the early part of the year I hope, as it is a bit of a trip.

Bert has has the car for 21 years and it sounds much as I remember it, possibly not restored in a major way.
