I have just joined up and looking around the site this looks a great club to join.
As I'm only in Whitstable I will try to come along to the meetings and events.
I am a magpie and hoarder for all things BMW plus many more things like hifi and records to fill the house up with.
I currently have four BMW's, one running, one mid restoration, one in the queue and one a rolling source of spare parts.
I have a 1980 e12 BMW M535i that is running and in use, a 1988 Alpina B10 based on a 535 that at the moment is an many parts, a 1892 635csi that is next in the queue and a 1988 535ise that is just a doner for parts really.
I started out with the 635 and used it regurlarly, bought the M as a project becuase I'd always wanted one and my partner wouldn't drive the 6. Started work on the M, the 6 suffered a cracked head at it's last MOT so I took it off the road and then moved house so nothing to drive. Bought the B10 with a view to breaking it to Alpina the 6 then decided it was to rare to break so apart it came for lost of work, bought the other 535 as a source of parts and decided last year thet the Alpina was going to take a little longer than I would like so turned my attention back to the M to get all the welding done to get it MOT'd and have something to drive, it's not perfect by any stretch but it's rare as hens teeth (about 40 UK cars left, 30 1981 and 10 1980 cars) and great fun to drive which is the most important thing.
It's amazing how they multiply when you can't say no.
I am slowy getting back onto the Alpina and hope to have it ready for painting this year but the best laid plans.

I like the sound of your BMW's I prefer the look of the 80's more pointed nose cars, Get some pictures up of them so we can have a peek!
