| Hello, greetings from the USA! I was introduced to your forum by a kind gentleman on another forum, Roger-hatchy. I'm a long time European auto enthusiast and have always been involved with Fiats. I've now taken a new found love of the British cars and have 4 Jaguars and my newest addition, a Hillman(Sunbeam here in the US) Minx, 1966, I believe a series VI. 1725CC, automatic, Green with green interior that is in surprisingly good condition and has needed little to bring up to nice, "driver" quality. I saw a Minx years ago and at that point decided I had to have one, so when this one became available, I went and bought it and drove it directly home, a bit over 120 miles, with no problems. Rootes group cars are almost unknown here in the US except for Alpines and Tigers, so I'm fumbling along with an Autobook and lots of web searching, thank god many of the parts I've needed so far are common to other British cars (Fusebox is the same as the 4 in my Jaguar 420!) Any tips, leads or suggestions are appreciated! | |
