| Just and Idea I had, mentioned it to a few members at the first meet.
Basically, dress all our old cars up in tinsel, fairy lights etc, all purchase a gift for a childrens home or hospice? Just something little, wrap it up etc. We then take a long cruise around Thanet to the childrens home, get some attention and maybe make some children have a slightly better christmas?
Ideas and opinions on this?
Obviously if people think its a good idea, I will get some wheels in motion.
~Lee
P.S. Got any other bright ideas for events or cruises post them up or PM me.

| Ok wanna try and get the wheel in motion for this one, any preferences on date? I am presuming a Saturday or Sunday will be best for more? Which weekend in December? The first weekend I am busy (4th/5th) So I would prefer either 11th/12th or 18th/19th? Unless people think an evening would work? Idea here ~Lee | |

Good idea Lee, Rachel and I will be up for it. Will be able to take part only on sundays though, working most saturdays. How does everyone feel about filling a shoe box each with maybe one gift or a number of small gifts? (children all have the same size gift box then) | |

| Ok I am thinking the 12th sounds good as 19th is too close to Christmas.
Need to go and speak to a Hospice that I have in mind and see what they would prefer money or gifts.
Will get back to you all soon!

| Ok, still in talks about this but will keep everyone updated on what has been happening. Sunday 12th December is looking promising. Funds are going to be going to the Pilgrims Hospice at Margate Hospital. There is not going to be a fee to join in the cruise but we are asking that everyone brings a long a donation (what ever you can afford). We are going to be looking for raffle prizes as well so if you as a person can donate a prize or know of a business who would be interested in donating please get in touch with me. Info@thanetclassics.co.ukIf you can donate a prize please try and buy some raffle tickets if you can. We are still looking for other fund raising ideas for this event, so post them up or email them over to me! There will also be a small prize for the best dressed car and the best dressed occupant. (Prizes to be decided). Route is yet to be planned. If anyone knows of any other classic car clubs/owners in the south east it would be cool to get as many people down to this as possible, so when I have sorted more details if you could pass these on it would be much appreciated. Get your thinking caps on! ~Lee | |

| just to maybe expand the donation/gift giving (and maybe killing 2 birds with one stone!!) would it be much extra grief if we also did something for the rainbow childrens ward at the same time?? even if it was some toys and games etc plus sweets(if they can have them) to hopefully cheer them up. im sure the kids would enjoy the distraction for half hour or so!! maybe its not possible for what ever reason but just thought i would suggest it!!! i for one would be more than happy to give extra if means making some poorly kids smile at xmas time!! |
