| I'd love to join you!
Suz and I live in Dover, and own 3 Acclaims between us.... we love them. We know of at least one Acclaim in Eastry, and another in Hawkinge - but there's a fair chance if you see an Acclaim in the area, it'll be us!
The Acclaim is 30 years old on October 7th - and I've organised a National meet on October 9th. If there are any other Acclaim owners in the area, come and join us! (I know there was one in Whitstable and one in Canterbury a year or so ago, but I don't think they're there now)
Look forward to hopefully meeting some of you in a couple of weeks time

| Hi and welcome to the site, 3 acclaims?! Sounds like you have cornered the market for them. Why the attraction to the acclaim? Tom | |

| Welcome to the site! Would be cool to see some pictures of your acclaims and to see you down at some meets with us! I don't know of any acclaims in the club but our site is very highly rated in google so who knows who might see it! Enjoy the site, ~Lee | |

| Acclaims are there to be driven - not garaged. They love hills and boy racers -although only 1335cc, they are nippy! With only 316 registered and on the road, the price is going up for a good one, but a couple of years ago they were a cheap 'classic'. Now we are beginning to be accepted by other Triumph owners who see the Acclaim as a Honda Ballard with a triumph badge (that kept the British car industry going from 81 - 84. | |

| Suz has had Acclaims for a number of years, my first, the blue one, I got 3 years ago. A few months later Suz got the silver one. It looked very pretty with the Triumph decal on the sides, but in truth isn't as 'genuine' as the others. The other CD was bought about a year ago, and is a very pretty car with just over 40,000 on the clock. The blue and red cars are all original (apart from a stainless steel exhaust because we couldn't find a mark 1 Acclaim exhaust!)
over 133,500 were made, 316 left on the road (taxed, MOTd). The few remaining are generally in good condition having being cared for (mainly) by the original owners

| Hi Acclaimed I have a TR7 which is also really only just being accepted as a Triumph by some clubs. I know of two Acclaims in Ramsgate they were introduced in the early 80's as a joint project with Honda, whilst I worked at Leyland all the managers were saying it's the most reliable car we've produced, sadly the Triumph name was killed off and the Acclaim was repackaged as the Rover 213 Nice to see fellow Triumphs ATB Dave ps Lee just posting so you don't delete me when you have your clear out | |

| Cheers Dave.
.....and the Rover 213 wasn't a patch on the Acclaim - it was downhill from then
I've seen a TR7 around Dover from time to time (mainly when I was going to work just before 8am). I've always thought you've been accepted much more than us! Funnily enough, when we went over to France earlier this year we were right next to a TR8. Snooty b*gger.
We may just join the mystery tour on Sunday. | |

| Sadly I cant join in with any events as I'm off to Italy tomorrow for 6 months and i've been off the road for a while. I would of loved to of got a photo of it outside the Ferarri factory just to show them a real car, but I'll just have to go in my Focus instead. ATB Dave | |
