| Depends how good of a job you want done on it?? Although some times bargains can be had. I have got the number of a guy who does very reasonably priced spray jobs (does them in his spare time). He is a member of the club and has already done quite a few members cars (including stuff for me). Let me know if you want his number! ~Lee | |

| Look at the difference in price on a new heritage mini body shell between primed and painted from recollection the painted one is £2,000.00 more and remember that is on a new shell already primed. Bill | |

| i would like a new shell but i have'nt got the money. it would be nice to have a mint mini cooper but i would'nt want to use it in all weather only on the nice days. i havent got a garage to put it away in. i want to try and make good and make do with the car iv'e got on small funds.
just think if there was no such thing as rust .
i've looked around my car and its safe to say that its got a lot of rust in all the well known places. i'm not so sure that its some thing that i can do on my drive way. i'm ok with the mechanical side of things but body work thats a no go zone. i might have to strip the car down and send the shell to be restored or get some advice .
i did think of getting a second hand shell in better condition but if i scrap my car its another mini gone from the roads. | |

| Just looked back on my old BMH price lists and their price for paint only was £2850.00 plus the bodyshell. If you have rust in all the usual places it is best to cut out and replace with new panels, not a diffucult task but time consuming I dread to think of how many hours I spent on my Mk1 cooper but it was worth it in the end I even made up a new rear floor section complete with the ribs to go in it, sadly gone to a new home but the money came in handy. | |

| Most definatly!! Looking qt the finish you would have thought I paid 15times that!!!! A good paintjob on a mini is easily achievable for under a £1000, you just have to shop around and also see if you can get someone to do it in there own time, like a hospital job, as this will make it cheaper as they can do it as a cash job!! |
