Tyres

A word of warning. I bought four new tyres for the P6 last week. The old ones had plenty of tread, but as they were 11 years old I thought it prudent to change them. I checked the date codes when I got home, only to find that one was manufactured almost 7 years ago. Informed advice is that the rubber deteriorates as quickly in storage as in use (RoSPA actually say quicker) so I was not a satisfied customer. Not a problem, as the supplier has ordered a replacement, but it would have been far easier had I asked them to check the dates before fitting.

Blimey! Thats not good, were they from a local supplier or from the internet?

This was posted on the EC site after someone asked about storing, upright or flat?

It was also mentioned his tyres had started to 'craze' after standing for a while.
