From Herne Bay

Hi all,

Although I live in Herne Bay I have only just heard about this group from DLM. Have been messing about with old cars and bikes almost since time began. My current stable consists of a 1932 Austin 10/4, a 1937 Austin 7 Special I built myself and an Austin Healey Sprite I restored about five years ago. I also have a 1939 600cc Ariel Sq 4 which I no longer have the bottle to ride.

Didn't realise you had a Square four, My uncle had one with sidecar.
He never had a car licence as he suffered a bit from claustrafobia, he tried a three pin plug AKA PLastic pig, but that didn't last long.
I'll sort the photos I took of the combo.
Hadn't been used for about 18 months, health reasons, but it fired first kick, and he was only about 7 stone by then.

That was in the early 70's and I believe it's still in the family.

If I can get the banana (DLM) down to the Christmas cruise we'll have to meet.

Do you have a tonneau for it?, Got to make one for the DLM.

Got the material just need the studs.

Have a tonneau and a hood and frames for the special. A local guy made them for me. I rarely use the hood because it's claustrophobic and makes it difficult to see traffic lights change when I'm first in the queue. The windscreen is detatchable by four 1/4" screws but I have been meaning to make a fold-flat mechanism for years now. Having this many vehicles is hard work for me these days.
