This was his last, and most daring, design.

So yes was a one of, still exists today

And yes that is gold plating.

It is a Delahaye roadster either that or a very rare Bugatti.

The company that made the chassis is still in production.

If still in production, my next guess is a Rolls Royce or Bentley chassis with a one off coach-built body.

BTW I had to edit out the Spirit of Ecstasy or it would have been a give away.

Mulliner Park Ward is the only RR coachbuilder I know the name of so I'm guessing them!

Yes I remember the car my father was a coachpainter for another company in london, in those days the cars were not sprayed but brush painted and flatted between each coat and usually 48 coats of paint

The modern re-invention of this is the famous Rustoleum $50 paint job.

oil based paint, rollered on a coat at a time and sanded down between coats.

I would guess its styled by Bertone judging by the look. Alfa or Lancia concept from the 70's? There are a few weird creations from then.

That pic made it easier, there is a prancing stallion missing from the grill! The car is a Ferrari rainbow concept from 1976.

The camera angle of the first photo, from a russian website, makes the car look smaller.

I edited the other phot as it would have been like posting the name of the car all over it.
