| Just got this email, let me know if your gonna go as I need to let him know! Hi ( lee ?), I saw the site through the might Google and wondered if this might appeal to you or any of your members….I run a car club for ‘kits’ and this coming Sunday (13th march) we’ve arranged an Open Morning at Powerspeed in Ashford (kent)…..if you don’t know them they have been around for years mainly involved with fabricating custom exhausts and the like, although recently they have widened their scope to include engine work. On Sunday they’ll host an Open Morning – between 9.0 + 11.30, with a couple of chats about exhaust dynamics, but of a demo etc. We’ve got about 15 /18 kit cars coming along, as well as a bunch of pistonheaders – and I wondered if a few of your guys might be interested? It’s not a ‘hard sell’ scenario – more a keeping their name in the frame job, they’ve arranged for a grub wagon to be on site and if you haven’t been there their industrial units are all under cover with parking for about 50 cars.I thought of mentioning it as from a selfish point of view its nice to see a variety of cars at these kind of ‘do’s ‘ – we get bored looking at a ton of similar 7’ s or Cobras !Appreciate that it’s late notice, but thought that if a few of you were at a loose end…..We do need to help PS keep a track on rough numbers, so grateful if you could drop me a note if any of you are going to be coming along….. Many thxMark G | |

| As an aside, I had to replace the manifold on the P4 last year with one for a later car (110) as the 75 manifold is no longer available and I couldn't find a decent used one. The new one fits the engine but puts the down pipe out of line (can't use a 110 pipe as it wouldn't fit at the other end). Powerspeed cut and shut the pipe to fit. Found them very helpful and very reasonable. | |
