I have just received this email I don't know if any of our members would be up for it? If anyone is interested in going get in touch and I will get the banner to you so that we can have a bit of advertising for the club
Could be a nice place to display some cars, sadly I am away that weekend so if anyone is willing to sort a few cars out let me know!

Dear Thanet Classics,
I am the Events Assistant at Canterbury
Cathedral and each year we open the private Canonical gardens at the
Cathedral under the NGS Yellow book scheme. This year it is on the
weekend of
Saturday May 28th 11.00 -17.00 & Sunday May 29th 14.00 -17.00.As well as the gardens, we have a Cathedral plant stall, refreshments, Dover Beekeepers and birds of Prey.
We are seriously hoping to have some classic
cars on show on Green Court, which is a large grassed area on the Kings
School side of the Precincts. We were hoping to do this through internal
contacts within the Cathedral, but as it is the
weekend before the May Bank Holiday, I am concerned that we may come up
a little short. So I wondered if any of your club members would like to
show off their car for the day or weekend.
All the proceeds from the stalls and
refreshments go to nominated charities. Last year we were able to give
the Pilgrims Hospice almost £4000, and this year the charities chosen
are
Kent Kids Miles of Smiles and Seeds for Africa.I am afraid that we cannot offer any incentive
to come along except the chance of a very good slice of homemade cake
and the opportunity to show off their car
in wonderful surroundings to a receptive audience. Anyone
interested would have to be willing to bring their car and have it
positioned before the opening time of either 11am or 2pm depending on
the day and have it their until the afternoon finishes
at 17.00 as we cannot have cars moving whilst the gardens are open.
I appreciate that your members must have a lot of call on their time already and thank you for reading this far.
If anyone would like to contact me for any extra
information or with a query, please contact me via the details below. I
have attached a copy of the poster I am designing for your
information.
Thank you and hope the rain keeps off all those shiny bumpers!
Best wishes
Jocelyn
