| So the site has been quiet this weekend, so you must have all been busy working away on your cars.
Lets see what you have been up to?

| I would show you but it didn't stand still long enough Have fitted a new Fuel cut off valve, full service, all geased up. that was an hours work done. Fitted a new Inner tube to one of the tyres, Three more to do, just arrived today at a cost of £80. The covers are 90+ each for the front and 80+ each for the rear I changed the tyres last year as they were still the originals, the rears were British Bourganan, they stopped trading in the fifty's. I didn't change the tubes as they seemed OK and still held air after 30 odd years of standing. Anyway I was lucky for the 3,000 miles traveled last year, some at 80+ and being thrown around with abandon, as someone once put it "Drive it as though it is stolen" Last week I found one of the tyres flat, changed the valve, flat in an hour. Removed the tube and found multi leaks, even though the tube still looks OK. So all tubes to be changed before the next run. Think I'll take them to the local fitter as I am running out of spoons haha | |

| Borrowing the throttle return spring off Shaun's Wolseley (tell him I managed a temporary fix and sourced a new spring which I'm assured will be despatched tomorrow). Fixed a leaky fuel pump on the P6. Most of all, driving around with a big grin on my face. | |

| More mini work, Put the radiator on the engine but wasnt happy with the finish on the paint on the bracket, and it bugged me so much I ended uo taking it off again and am now painting it. Painted the numberplates and cleaned up a few other bits. Purchased a set of 5 new falken tyres from a website called "camskill" Paid £138 for the 5 includung postage and arrived in 2 days! I washed the escort today after someone spilled tea on it and wrote rs turbo in the dirt on the back of it. The clutch is on its way out and so is the gearbox, went to overtake a van today and clutch slipped mid overtake, still managed to get past it | |

| urm.. i had the day off, well i was ill, secondary fermentation and all that. . . . cough! so i spent the day working on the car fitted new clutch and put a gearbox from an rs turbo into the car as my 4 speed gearbox lost 2nd when cold and the syncromesh on all the gears was going. Every single thing that could go wrong has this weekend, even down to the new trolley jack leaking oil everywhere. Turns out an rs turbo gearbox is a bit bigger than the 4 speed and doesnt fit, i have managed to squeeze it in though Whats up with your polow? | |

| Polow managed to snap the clutch cable and pull itself out of the bulkhead! Dad sorted that this afternoon, reversed it out of garage at 7.50ish wound down window, mechanism broke. Luckily had another mechanism on an old door upstairs so strip down and fitted that. All working fine now! If you see a blue polo broken down tomorrow on the way to/from canterbury make sure you pick me up as I don't think the polow is liking me this weekend! ~Lee | |

| Haven't done much on the cars, apart from fitting a new bonnet badge on the P6, but spent a fair bit of yesterday afternoon upside down over Deal. Had a chance of a flight with a very enthusiastic aerobatic pilot who spent forty minutes trying to find out what I had for lunch. Best fun I've had for years! | |

| ermmm....Land Rover back door fell off. I replaced the hinges and put it back. Thats about it im afraid! All my time seems to be taken up with my stupid modern Renault trafic that might as well have an Alfa badge on it for all its electrical problems. This week the alternator died and had to be replaced. Hooray for modern motoring! | |

| Quick service, getting ready for MOT next month. Checking out and setting up the Tracker ready to fit, somewhere, in the car. Not many places to fit anything anywhere. Playing around with the tyre pressures, what sort of pressure do you need with 540 kg one of hybrid. Had a few check out, well that's my excuse, run outs, just to check the different slide rate per PSI. | |
