| A pair of 40mm twin choke downdraught Solex (was always told they don't exist, some surprised faces when I put them on a counter)
A Formula V race cam.
Lightened pistons and flywheel, toughride and balance everything, blue print everything as well.
0-60 in 8 seconds, 125mph+.
Been busy on the DLM, going to update my last DLM thread with some scary photos.

| Exhaust! Make your own, we used to siamese 1-4, 3-2, equal lenght pipes loop two rears accross and back to centre to Meet in the middle,(another way was to pass them down the side of the rocker covers, one pipe out the side. Use the VW silencer, that little tail pipe from old. You can make it a clamp on silenser, to be removed when ????? But I bet you've seen what I mean already. Sounded like a V6, or a screaming kawasaki. | |

| Had the polo in pieces over the last week. The fuel tank is away being repaired (it was ALOT worse than I realised after I cleaned it up). Also had a bad oil leak for too long so finally decided to strip it down this week and sort the head gasket, jizer the engine bay, fit a new carb base (as it was broken). It's gonna have a new cambelt and a service when I finish it.

| polo will be sweet when she is done lee, is she still the 1L or the 1.3? Havent done anything to the mk1 mini in about a month or two now. as for the clubman I have been busy working on her over the last few weeks, throughout rain and it being dark when I get in from work, it turns out its actually real pain to convert a mini from auto to manual! and also found a fair bit of rust too! fitted new wheel bearing to the rear passengers wheel on the escort today, oh and I washed it too | |

| Fired my Capri up for the first time since October last weekend. Fired right up after 20 mins of jump starting. Then sprayed coolant everywhere because I forgot to put the expansion tank back on. Things to do in march. 1. Expansion tank 2. Tax it 3. Give it some stick before the mot runs out. 4. Mot it 5. Possibly cry | |

| More filling, more rubbing down
Slowly getting there.
Soon be time to start the top coats, brushed, flatted between each.
Going for at least 4 coats then see what it looks like, got the opportunity to have the last coat sprayed, but looking at the finish on the primer/undercoat, 4 layers, I might not need it.
Only problem, it needs 48hr drying time before flatting
Done the same in the 70's
Will sort some photos to add to my DLM thread.

| One coat of top coat yellow drying.
Three more coats, last one I'll use a roller, then see if it needs a final spray coat, if not one last roller coat, 1500 wet n dry then polish and elbow grease.
Another coat tomorrow, then wet and dry over the weekend.
Start on the wings tomorrow, if I feel fit enough.
